Wedding season is upon us, and I couldn't be happier to have begun mine with Miles and Emilie at the Bel-Wood Country Club in Morrow, Ohio. Not far from Cincinnati, Bel-Wood Country Club is a beautiful, sweeping golf course that certainly has the feel that spring is upon us. With the trees blossoming and the gorgeous greens, Miles and Emilie had an utterly fantastic backdrop on a perfect day.
Emilie began getting ready at her aunt's home in Loveland, who was lovely, warm, and welcoming. She was truly a delight to spend the day with, and it was evident how much she adored Emilie and Miles. When Emilie left to meet up with her bridesmaids, Miles and his groomsmen came to get ready as well. Miles and his groomsmen were a hoot to spend the morning with, constantly cracking jokes and full of laughter. The infectious joy of everyone throughout the day made it a pleasure to work with them!
When we arrived at Bel-Wood, their nautical theme was evident, with navy and silver accents on all the tables, along with mini lighthouses, starfish, and even sand dollars to mark the seating arrangements. Their original idea of having the guestbook be a handmade pallet, painted with their names and nautical theme incorporated, was a fun change that they'll be able to hang in their home for years to come. I love to see couples with fresh ideas like that!
Throughout the day, the weather was perfect; and after the ceremony was no different. Miles and Emilie were able to go out onto the golf course with me for some fantastic golden hour wedding portraits, which I adore. Many times I'm not able to plan portrait times, but I love when timelines conveniently align with the wonderful golden hour for portraits!
The entire day was beautiful, and it was wonderful to see the love and excitement from their family and friends. They have a fantastic group supporting them, and I know it will continue for the entirety of their lives. Congratulations, you two. It's been an honor to be your photographer, and an even higher honor to become your friend. I wish you happiness for years to come!
