Kaity + Emily have an infectious kind of happiness -- being around them, you can't help but smile as you watch them interact. And that was the case during their engagement session, as we roamed Dayton and got some great images of them just being them: fun, carefree, and obviously crazy about each other! Wegerzyn Gardens provided a perfect backdrop for some wonderful formal photos of the two of them, and then we headed over to the Greene and a nearby field to get some more laid back images. Each step of the way, Kaity and Emily were all smiles, all laughs, and that's exactly why I love engagement sessions: they're just so darn fun!
It was a blast and an honor to be able to document the two of them while Kaity was on leave from the U.S. Marine Corps, and you could tell how happy Emily was to have Kaity back, if only for just a moment. It made the session that much sweeter, and it reminded me how thankful I am for our men and women in service -- and their spouses! The sacrifices they make to protect our freedom is something I can't begin to thank them for.
Beyond the uniform, Kaity and Emily were a blast, too! Their playfulness, and their willingness to hang out, have fun, and see what imagery we could create within that carefree space made for a really fun, laid back time, which is something that I love. I think their images reflect that, and I hope you enjoy them as well.
Congratulations, you two! I look forward to your wedding, and wish you many, many years of happiness!!
