Jake + Hannah's Romantic Wedding at The Willow Tree
When it comes to weddings, moments are what wedding photographers wait and hope for. They’re the stories within the story of the day, and when a couple opens up and allows me to capture those moments and stories for them, it’s amazing. Jake + Hannah are two souls that are so open, so kind, and so genuine, that when Jess and I arrived to capture their wedding, it felt as though we were part of the family from the moment we arrived. Their openness and genuine connection with their friends and family allowed us to capture some of the most heartfelt moments I’ve ever had the honor of capturing, their ceremony was so wonderfully intimate, and their reception was one for the books. To say their wedding was awesome would be an understatement of massive proportions, and I hope the images do the day justice!
Arriving at the Willow Tree for Hannah’s getting ready, we were greeted by her amazing group of bridesmaids, who were all so fun and excited for Hannah’s big day. They were hilarious to spend time with, and the true sense of camaraderie they shared with Hannah was tangible. As they all prepared, they celebrated with her, sharing moments and memories with her and one another. By the time Hannah put on her dress and did her big reveal, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, and it was so wonderful to see the true joy and excited her family and friends had for her.
One of the of the most intimate moments, however, was right before the ceremony, as Hannah, her bridesmaids, mother, and mother-in-law circled up to pray. There was such fervency and true connection as they prayed over Hannah, and it was an honor to capture such a moment for them. It is certainly something I will never forget, and I’m sure Hannah will cherish those moments for years to come.
As the ceremony unfolded, both Jake and Hannah’s parents shared words of wisdom with the new couple. It was a moving ceremony, again filled with the true love and affection their parents had for them, and you could sense the true spirit of love they had for one another. Their family and friends looked on in joy, and it was a true pleasure to be able to document their ceremony.
But I would be remiss to not talk about the reception! While the moments before the ceremony and the ceremony itself were so special and intimate, the reception was just as special…but for all the wildest, most fun reasons! This couple not only knows how to love deeply, but they know how to throw a fantastic party, to boot! From start to finish of their reception, their friends and family tore up the dance floor, sang their hearts out, and were an absolute blast to bring down the house with. They are truly some of the most fun people I’ve had the opportunity to document, and the fact that they implicitly trusted Jess and I to come in and capture their day made it even more fun to create for them.
Jake + Hannah, thank you so much for entrusting your moments and memories with us. It was simply a pleasure to get to be a part of your biggest day yet, and wish the two of you all the best. I can’t wait to hear all of the things you achieve together!
