Tyler + Mary’s wedding was a bit different for me, and different was very good. Many times before a wedding, I’ve met the couple and had the opportunity to have coffee, and often, an engagement session. I love that part of the relationship building, and it’s a fantastic way to know you’ll be comfortable with each other on the wedding day. However, with Tyler + Mary, we had never met before their wedding day; we’d had a few phone calls to get to know each other and plan out the events of the day, but nothing more. However, when I met them on their wedding day, I was welcomed like an old friend, brought into the fold, and it was as though we’d shot together many times! Their pure joy for one another was tangible, and I don’t think I ever saw their smiles fade the entire day. It was simply one of the happiest days I’ve experienced, and it was so much fun to be a witness to their union. Tyler + Mary are truly some of the kindest souls I have ever met, and I can’t express enough how wonderful it was to have the opportunity to capture their wedding day for them at the Bell Event Centre in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Having their first look at Mt. Echo Park, Tyler and Mary were thrilled to see each other, and their bridal party was so much fun to spend time with. Mary’s bridesmaids were so fun, as they got Mary into position and then snuck peeks at the first look. Tyler’s groomsmen were a hoot, constantly cutting jokes and keeping everyone laughing. The good natured spirits of everyone made the bridal party a lot of fun, and I could tell how wonderfully loved both Tyler and Mary were by their friends and family.

Heading to Saint William Church, I was amazed at how gorgeous the sanctuary and nave were. Beautiful marble floors reflected Tyler and Mary as they said their vows, and stunning stained glass windows lined the walls. The ceremony was wonderful, and it was lovely to see so many come out to be witnesses to the union. Once the ceremony was finished, we had a fantastic pocket of time for portraits, and it was a blast to interact with just Tyler and Mary. Their joy was overflowing, and they are such a truly sweet couple.

The reception was at The Bell Event Centre, one of the most stunning wedding venues in Cincinnati. Once called St. Paul’s Church, it was decommissioned for a few years before The Verdin Company purchased it, repurposing it into their corporate headquarters before transforming into the beautiful wedding venue that it now is. Its hand-painted murals and stained glass windows are breathtaking, and the marble vaulted ceilings create such a wonderful aesthetic for wedding ceremonies and receptions…and that’s precisely what Tyler + Mary had on their wedding day!

Mary’s maid of honor and sister sang as her toast to the bride and groom, and might I add, amazingly so. As she began the first notes of “At Last” by Etta James, I was taken aback by how beautifully she sang, and I believe everyone was impressed! It set the tone for a fantastic evening of dancing, cheers, and simply enjoying the beautiful day that everyone had been a part of. From start to finish, Tyler and Mary had such a wonderful wedding day, and it was a pleasure to be a part of it! Congratulations, you two, and thank you for allowing me to document it for you!
