Brian + Beverly's Beautiful Turks & Caicos Elopement
Sometimes things just come together in an amazing way. Which, in the case of Brian + Beverly, is exactly what happened! When Brigid of I-do Weddings & Events, their incredible Cincinnati wedding planner introduced us, they asked me to photograph their Cincinnati wedding reception. Upon further discussion, they shared they were eloping in Turks and Caicos a few weeks prior. That’s when they said they were still looking for a photographer for their elopement. And, just like that, our adventure became a multi-country affair!
As their plans manifested for their elopement in Turks and Caicos, it became clear it was a beautiful affair in the making. Choosing to have their destination wedding at the Wymara Resort in Providenciales, they couldn’t have chosen a more beautiful Caribbean backdrop for their nuptials. As their newfound friends at the resort looked on, they sealed their marriage with a kiss!
But, what I wasn’t anticipating was just how awesome they would be! The night before their wedding, while browsing the web at 2 am, I ran across a stand up paddle boarding adventure company, Big Blue Collective. After sending Beverly a link and throwing the idea of doing a day after session in a whole different way — with them in their wedding attire, paddle boarding! And, imagine my excitement when Beverly’s response on the morning of her wedding was a resounding yes, and a link to the proof that she’d already booked our spots!
So, after a beautiful wedding the day before, we headed to Big Blue. As we arrived, we met curious glances, as the wedding attire was quite out of place. However, every staff member was on board to make their session happen, which was amazing! We were guided through stunning mangroves, where we photographed their adventure. And what an adventure it was!
From start to finish, getting to capture Beverly + Brian’s elopement in Turks and Caicos was incredible! Thanks for allowing me to capture your moments for you, you two, and for diving into more adventures with me, quite literally. I wish you all the best in your new life together, and let me know when it’s time to go on another adventure!
