Chris + Megan's Cozy Engagement Session at a Nature Preserve
Chris + Megan are a lot of fun. Meeting up on a warm autumn evening, we explored Grant Nature Park in Dayton, Ohio for their nature preserve engagement photos. Not only did we get to take their photos, but they even their pup to get in on the fun. With everyone in on the festivities, we had a great evening wandering together.
This autumn is one for the books, with loads of fantastic couples taking advantage of the gorgeous colors. Beyond the beautiful backgrounds, Chris + Megan are fabulous because they’re adventurous! Megan even scoped out locations she liked before the session, which makes the session all the more personal for the two of them. She led the way as she showed me a few nooks I didn’t even know existed. Chris’s sense of humor is awesome, and these two were simply fun to spend the evening with.
As the sun set over a secret pond we discovered, the warm light washed over the two of them. Sun flares were in full bloom, and it was incredible to capture! One of my favorite times to photograph couples is golden hour for just this reason. I highly recommend having engagement sessions during golden hour. It’s the best!
While heading back to the car, we enjoyed chatting about their upcoming wedding day. It was truly a wonderful evening, and the photos are beautiful byproduct of a great connection.
Congratulations, you two! It was a blast to get to capture your nature preserve engagement photos for you. I can’t wait to capture your wedding next June. I hope your handsome pup has a special bowtie for the wedding day, too! 🙂
