Crisp, autumn weather. Rich, vibrant autumn tones. Beautiful, historic farmhouse. If this sounds like the perfect backdrop for a southern wedding day, you’d be correct. Jacob + Gabby had one of the most beautiful, quintessentially Southern, charm-filled weddings you can imagine at Warrenwood Manor in Danville, Kentucky. But beyond the beauty, Jacob + Gabby are such a blast, and their family and friends are a joy to celebrate with. If you’re looking for inspiration for your Southern wedding photos, you’ve come to the right place!

This was the first time I’d seen Warrenwood Manor. As I pulled up, I was taken aback at the beauty of the old farmhouse and the gorgeous colors of the trees in the perfect autumn setting. Gabby, her mother, her family, and friends put so much attention into making her wedding day truly a magical, Southern wedding.

The floral arrangements by Sherwood Florist held rich, vibrant reds and greens, perfect for the wedding aesthetic. Each detail was carefully placed and meticulously cared for. One of my favorite details was the pie bar, which held adorable, pint-sized pies for the guests. Add in the coffee bar, and fantastic guest gifts of chocolates at each table setting, and you have yourself a cozy, welcoming feel!

Being a Mary Kay Sales Director, Gabby was in fantastic hands as her maid of honor helped her get her makeup in perfect order. Plus, the fun moments between her and her bridesmaids were a joy to capture. Gabby’s mother is such a wonderful woman, and you could feel the love and excitement she had for Gabby and Jake. Not to be forgotten, though, Jake had a wonderful set of groomsmen who were a blast to hang out with. As they all helped him get ready, you could tell the camaraderie between them. Jake + Gabby chose not to have a first look, and instead exchanged notes and gifts. Seeing their responses to one another’s notes as they waited for the ceremony was touching.

Because they didn’t see one another before the ceremony, I jokingly asked Gabby if Jake would cry when he saw her at the ceremony. As she predicted, he remained stoic. However, I noticed a tear escape as he saw his bride for the first time. It was a heartfelt moment, and the smile on Gabby’s face as she met her groom was something I won’t forget.

But as amazing as the ceremony was, the best was yet to come! Warrenwood Manor not only has a beautiful grounds for wedding ceremonies, but their barn was transformed into the most amazing wedding reception venue I’ve seen! The warm, intimate setting was wonderful, and the family-style served dinner was fun for everyone. The dancing began with an utterly fantastic father-daughter first dance that set the tone for the rest of the night, and it became a huge dance party! Everyone got in on the fun, and the shenanigans captured will entertain Jake, Gabby, and their guests for many years to come.

Jake + Gabby, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your wedding day for you. It has been such an honor to get to know you and your families. You had such an amazing start to your journey, and I look forward to seeing where life takes the two of you!
