Dan + Lauren's Beautiful Lakeside Wedding in Coeur d'Alene
If you look up adventurous in the dictionary, I’m quite convinced Dan + Lauren will show up. From the moment we met for their incredible, nearly 24-hour engagement adventure in Portland and the Washington coast, to their amazing backpacking trip in Nepal a month before their wedding, to their gorgeous wedding at the Coeur d’Alene Resort, these two are always on the hunt for a new adventure! Combine their fearlessness with their genuine kindness, and you have a recipe for a fantastic wedding!
Along with the two of them being fantastic, they have some of the most wonderful family and friends I have had the honor of meeting. I had the opportunity to spend time with their loved ones the evening before the wedding, and to see the love and support they have from their friends, colleagues, and family, and the way their group welcomed me into the fold, I knew the wedding would be a blast to photograph…and it absolutely was! From the hilarious mustache antics of the groomsmen, to the chambong shenanigans from the bridesmaids (no, really, if you’re a bride planning your wedding, I fully endorse picking up a few chambongs…they are utterly hilarious!), I found myself laughing until nearly crying from their joy. They are truly some of the most fun, sincerely wonderful people I’ve had the honor of photographing.
And, don’t get me started on Dan + Lauren’s portraits and location of choice for their wedding. The Hagadone Event Center at the Coeur d’Alene Resort is a magical place, and choosing to start their adventure at the Coeur d’Alene Resort was a fantastic choice. The gorgeous backdrop, with lakes, mountains, and blue, blue skies, there was nothing that could have topped their wedding day. And, even when the single raincloud in the sky stopped by, Dan + Lauren remained optimistic, held out, and were rewarded with the most beautiful ceremony, and a gorgeous sunset. There truly aren’t enough superlatives to express how much I adored getting to work with Dan + Lauren, so I will let the photos do the rest of the talking, and leave Dan + Lauren with these sentiments…
You two, thank you SO MUCH for entrusting me with your wedding and engagement photography! I know I am grateful you happened to discover me on Facebook and reach out, because it has truly been a joy to become friends and capture this season of your life for you. I can’t wait to see where your lives take you in the upcoming years. Please don’t be strangers, and know I will be cheering you on as you tackle new mountains together. Congratulations!
