Josh + Andrea's Edgy, Urban Vibe Wedding at Top of the Market
There’s not much that makes me nervous when I walk into a wedding at this point. However, to say I wasn’t a little nervous while having the honor of photographing a wildly talented photographer’s wedding would be a lie. Josh is a fantastic photographer himself, and getting the opportunity to capture his and Andrea’s moments for them was a pleasure. Their urban wedding was one I won’t forget anytime soon!
Josh + Andrea are ridiculously amazing. They are beautiful, inside and out, and their friends and family are some of the sweetest people I’ve met. From the moment I arrived, I was receiving hugs and welcomed in like another family member. Their joy and love for one another, and the excitement for Josh + Andrea was so fun to witness. From the bridesmaids getting their planks in before getting ready, to the guys sneaking in a few cigars before the big moment arrived, every part of their day was a blast. Add on top that they got married at one of my favorite wedding venues in Dayton, Top of the Market. Then, we had to opportunity to do portraits in one of Dayton’s newest up and coming venues, The Steam Plant, and the day was an absolute dream! This was an urban wedding planner’s dream come true!
Being fashion-forward and understanding of photography, both Josh + Andrea allowed me to play a little more than usual, which allowed for some fantastic portraits on the rooftop of the Crowne Plaza in Dayton, where they got ready. Using my favorite Interfit Photographic S1 strobes, we slayed in the midday sun, creating killer images quickly and efficiently. When we arrived to Top of the Market, I knew we’d be in for a fantastic reception. Their family and friends are an absolute blast. The reception was full of fun shenanigans, which makes my job so much more fun!
Start to finish, Josh + Andrea brought that fire and had such a fantastic wedding day. Thank you, you two, for allowing me to capture your day and trusting me with your memories. It was an honor, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you next!
