Travis + Alyssa's Intimate Elopement in the Woods
During a year where so many things are uncertain, one thing is for sure: love is not cancelled! When COVID-19 changed Travis + Alyssa’s big distillery wedding plans, the couple refused to give up on their wedding. Instead of the big wedding they’d originally planned, they chose to go with an intimate elopement in the woods. And, if I’m being perfectly honest, I think this was even better than they could have imagined!
Having known these two for years, I know how much they love one another, and how patiently they’ve waited for their big day to come. Even while the venue may have changed, and the guest list was drastically different, everything that was important was there. They had one another, their officiant, and it was time to become Mr. & Mrs.
Their elopement was intimate, sweet, and absolutely everything you could want from a wedding. Alyssa is an incredible human, who focuses on leaving a smaller footprint behind on the world. In her searching, she found an INCREDIBLE florist that specialized in creating succulent arrangements that can be replanted after the big day. Based out of California, the creations from Succulents for Hire were amazing! They were able to focus on one another, pledge their love to one another, and then celebrate with an incredible, gluten free cookie cake from Purely Sweet Bakery!
But, not to be left out, Travis is an amazing soul who has incredible friends. Having lost a few too soon along the way, he opted to bring them to the wedding in custom cufflinks. It was a beautiful tribute to see. Sharing a drink with his friend and officiant beforehand, the stage was set for a beautiful day.
Through their sweet ceremony, tears of joy were shed, but nothing beat the celebration afterward! As they raised their hands high, they were officially married. Kick rocks, COVID! Love wins!
Travis + Alyssa, thank you so much for allowing me to be your photographer. Capturing your memories has been such an honor, and I’m thankful to call you friends. I wish you all the best in the world, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you in the future. Please let me capture it, wherever it takes you! Cheers!
