Brendon + Robyn | Villa Zambonina, Verona, Italy | Destination Wedding Photography
There are so many words I want to say, but there also aren’t enough to adequately describe Brendon + Robyn’s stunning destination wedding in Verona, Italy. When I met Robyn, I was immediately drawn to her vivacious, take-life-by-the-reins philosophy, and her personality certainly shined through in this wedding that she, Brendon, and their families created at Villa Zambonina in Vigasio, Italy.
Built in the early seventeenth century, Villa Zambonina is an antique Manor House that still boasts its original authenticity, complete with the gorgeous rural courtyard and rose garden. The region still holds onto to its local tradition of rice production, and just outside the large property, you can see those rice beds being cultivated. Within the stunning interior of Zambonina, gorgeous architecture stands the test of time, creating the illusion that you have truly gone back in time, when life was simpler, and the romantic mystery of love is just around the corner of each narrow, winding hallway.
Robyn and Brendon created a gorgeous backdrop for their nuptials on a warm Thursday afternoon, opting to say I do on the footsteps of the estate surrounded by their friends and family — all of whom hailed from over 13 countries! — and married by Robyn’s father. It was truly a wonderful sight to behold, and it was the feel of a single family unit from start to finish. Their families’ love for them and the unconditional support was a joy to be able to witness, and definitely something I won’t forget anytime soon.
Brendon was quite dapper in a custom tailored navy blue suit, and…sorry Brendon!…Robyn stole the show in her custom-made wedding gown which was soft, elegant, and simply breath-taking. Combined with her cathedral length veil, she was an absolutely stunning bride! Together they were quite the couple, and it was truly a pleasure to be able to capture their wedding and portraits for them.
s if the wedding itself wasn’t enough of a show stopper, they hailed in one of the most phenomenal wedding receptions I’ve been a part of! Emotional toasts, fantastic multi-course meals, and a fantastic DJ rounded out their post-wedding reception, and the party went well into the wee hours of the night.
However, I would be remiss to forget the most epic portion of the night — when the entire bridal party leapt into the pool fully clothed, and the reception turned into a pool party, complete with many of the guests joining them in the celebration! It was an absolute blast to be a part of, and it was clear everyone had a fantastic time from start to finish.
Congratulations, Brendon + Robyn! Your wedding was one for the books, and I can’t tell you enough how much of an honor it was to be your photographer! Enjoy your honeymoon, and let me know when it’s time for the 10 year renewal!
