What do you get when you have a 150 year old house as your backdrop, 4 adorable pups as your bridal party, and 2 amazing human beings tying the knot? You have the makings of an absolutely INCREDIBLE wedding, that’s what! Matt and Sherri are two of the most rad people, and their wedding day was anything but ordinary. You see, Sherri is a Cincinnati wedding photographer herself, so I knew going in that she would make the day anything but status quo. And, with a first look in an abandoned building and their ceremony in their home they’re currently renovating in the Dayton Street Historic District of Cincinnati, it was truly a day of firsts and fantastic moments.

Opting to have the wedding in their stunning home they’re currently renovating, Matt + Sherri chose to create a warm environment in their stunning 3 story house that has a rich history, with William Henry Harrison being the executor of the will and first homeowner! With Matt getting ready at their home, Sherri got ready at Hotel Covington just on the other side of the Ohio River. With Cinci Makeup and Eros Salon prepping Sherri, she was absolutely stunning as she donned her beautiful BERTA wedding gown. Time to get this show on the road!

Heading to see Matt for the first time, excitement and emotions were high. Choosing to have the first look in an abandoned school not far from their home, it was one of the most unique first look locations I’ve photographed!

But…not only was the first look location unique. Matt and Sherri had one of the best first looks ever, taking it a step further and making a first “crash into each other,” ha! And with that as their first moments together, it was evident the rest of the day was going to be amazing.

And amazing it was! The wedding ceremony was heartfelt, intimate, and became standing room only (they have SO MANY friends!). With wedding florals by Marti Heard, tears of joy from everyone, and a ceremony officiated by a dear friend, it was a win. And, let’s not forget the bacon bar, great treats at the dessert table, and shenanigans all night. Every moment of the evening was tailored to be a night no one would forget. With no lead up to the party getting started, we rolled from the ceremony to a quick few portraits, and then it was ON! The home turned from an intimate ceremony affair to a rocking house party with ease, and it was one of the best parties I’ve ever witnessed!

Matt + Sherri, thank you SO MUCH for allowing me to capture your day for you! It was an absolute honor, and I can’t wait to see the photos from your honeymoon in Egypt!
