Brian + Paige are absolute champs. Want to know why? Not only did they drive 7 hours to Washington D.C. for their destination engagement session, but when I asked them if they’d wake up before the sun even thought about rising, to meet me at the Jefferson Memorial the next morning for a sunrise session, they didn’t hesitate at all! These two were absolutely fantastic from start to finish as we wandered Washington D.C. for their engagement photos, and it was a joy to spend the morning and afternoon with them, taking in all of the moments and capturing their day for them.
Meeting on the footsteps of the Jefferson Memorial while it was still dark, Brian and Paige arrived ready to rock, and we had a blast from start to finish. As the sun rose over the Jefferson Memorial, the sky exploded into a gorgeous display of pinks and lavender, making the already gorgeous cherry blossom backdrop even more amazing. Which, speaking of cherry blossoms, we lucked out with D.C. having a cold snap the weekend before our shoot, which caused the cherry blossoms to be in bloom while we were there! It was a fantastic start to the day, and we had a great time walking the streets the rest of the day, hitting the National Art Gallery, and finding a fantastic little oyster bar to have lunch once we were finished up. It was a wonderful day, and it was great getting to know Brian + Paige as we hung out.
Brian + Paige, thank you so much for entrusting me with your engagement and wedding photos, and thanks for being so amazing and game for anything I could dream up for you two! I can’t wait for your wedding this fall in Cincinnati and to see what we come up with next time!
