Adrian + Elizabeth | Louisville Engagement Photography
Sometimes you meet a couple you just immediately connect with, and Adrian and Elizabeth were one of those couples. From our initial conversations, I knew Elizabeth was someone I was really going to enjoy interacting with, and upon meeting Adrian, I knew we were going to have a great time wandering Louisville together for their engagement session!
These two are the sweetest people, and immediately welcomed me into their home, where we started things off fun with their adorable Boston Terrier, Bitsy. She was clearly the star of the show, and let me know I was on her time! She enjoyed the attention, and from there we headed to Cherokee Park for photos, which is where Adrian proposed to Elizabeth. With its beautiful bridges and snow covered running trails, there was no shortage of beauty to document!
Between locations, we stopped for some coffee, and then headed to the Humana building, where Adrian works. It was beautiful there; perfectly polished marble floors, walls, and floor to ceiling windows abounded. Adrian and Elizabeth were game for playing and trying different things, which made my heart so happy, and I ended up tossing them in the elevator, where they happily rode up and down between floors as we timed our shots and were rewarded with one of my favorite images so far…the doors closing at just the precise moment as the two of them kissed.
Finishing up our session across the Kentucky border in Indiana, we shot over the Ohio river to capture the gorgeous Louisville skyline. Throughout the day, thees two were such sports and game to try all kinds of crazy ideas. They are naturals in front of the camera, and it was truly a pleasure to watch their interactions with one another. It’s rare that a couple almost seems to forget I’m there, but they did just that, and it allowed for some great images! I’m definitely looking forward to their New Years Eve wedding this year.
Congratulations, you two (and Bitsy!), and thank you for allowing me the honor of being your photographer! I hope you adore your images.
